The Great Lapu-Lapu Run 21K results now out

Here are the finish times of the runners in the 21-kilometer races of The Great Lapu-Lapu Run. The results were sent to CebuRunning by the organizers of the race. The finish times were taken from data gathered by the timing system deployed by Finishline.ph. If you have concerns over the accuracy of the results or you can’t find your name, please contact the organizers in their Facebook page.

If you can’t find your name in your gender category, try searching for it in the other category. If you can’t find your name by searching for your first name, try searching using your surname or bib numbers. If you spot an error, please contact the organizers so that they can correct the entries.

The results below (after the jump) are searchable. To search for your finish time, just enter your name or bib number at the lower right portion of the results window below.

On a personal note, The Great Lapu-Lapu Run is very memorable for me because I was finally able to break two hours in the 21K. According to the results, I completed my run with a net chip time of 1:58:07.

paet! here i ran my heart out under the sun’s cruel heat and my name is not on the finishers’ list. disorganized still until now.

  • poch5

    Unsa pasabot sa “split_exp” ug “split_mprk”? :)

  • poch5

It was our first 21k. We were on our target time until km18 I think that I had to ask my wife that we walk instead. Couldn’t stand the heat na. Our target time was 2:10 to 2:20. We finished at 2:38 something…Our split time (if I understood it right hehe) was good enough at 59:20 and split mprk at 1:35:33 (Im not exactly sure what mprk means, I guess it was that last mat we stepped on).

Great picnic though..we enjoyed it..we were even laughing in the final two km. We resolved to prepare more (running under the sun, etc) for our next 21k. :)

By the way Max, we will be joining the Ungo run this Friday. See you.

  • ssu

although, most of us are beginners, we were all excited and eager to know our standing during this event. Around 80% of our group’s participants run for 5K and some for 3K. unfortunately, we realized after the run that no one was taking down our time and numbers at the finish line. =(
can anyone give us a clear explanation to this? thanks =)

  • Jack Daniel Morilla

Congratulations!!!,a job well done, although some lapses were noted but tolerable. Promised bus to commute runners were not available, thanks to a certain Jason of waterfront hotel who facilatated us to contact Sunshine Mendoza to took a taxi ride be refunded upon arrival. Hope you give us some explanations about the real story, why the bus did not come. Thanks.

So poorly organized. Late start, dangerous roads kay marshals are just standing there being cute, no one knew where to go at the start. Announcers on scene could not be heard. No water at the end where you really need it. Long line to get gatorade and food. What happened to the clock? It was poorly executed. Organizers get an “D-minus” at best. Still don’t know what they are doing. The Great Lapulapu run was a Great Mess. :( (( Please change organizers. The don’t know what runners need.

Sana ma post ang results sa 5k para ma encourage pod mi na dagan next time…tnx

  • admin

    Brenda,
I don’t think they can post results for 5K because they didn’t keep track of the finish time of 3K and 5K runners. But don’t let that discourage you. Keep on running and in the coming races, you could join distances where they’ll be using timing chips.

    Suggestions
    1. In big event like this foods & drinks should pre- packed, i believed that participants will be thankful for it.
    2. Make several booth for food releases so that it is easier and faster.

Be punctual, give considerations to other who observed it. Thank you.

Hello, we had a great run, thanks so much for GLLR 2, although kung pwede next time kay pre-packed ang food? Sobra ka taas sa linya and dugay ma-serve, most of the runners wala naka-cooldown ug tarong kay concerned sa meal, delikado kaayo.

Also, ang marshalls puro pa-cute, wala mi idea which road to take. Maayo nalang naay nag-una namo, otherwise we could have taken the wrong road and end up at the other side of mactan. Lol haha.

Also naa lang ko personal concern. I ran in the 10k category, and at the 8th or 9th km or so, the kenyan guy (champion) ran past me followed by several “official” cars. One of your drivers nearly run me down. Hapit ko mahimong road kill. Please drive vigilantly next time, and this happened with me at the outer limit of the road with no other cars coming from the opposite direction.

Thanks and we all hope to have a better race next time. =)

Thanks, Patrick! I hope to meet you on the road one of these days!

There’s no perfect race but always consider the plight of runners especially athletes. Because we owe them the sport.
