Cebu City Marathon 42K and 21K results now out

Official race times for the very successful Cebu City Marathon 2010 are now out. The times are based on ChampionChip data.

Kenyan Willy Tanui dominated the 42K race by finishing the race in 2 hours 30 minutes and 57 seconds. Kenyan missionary Simon Losiaboi, who is currently based in Cebu, placed second with a time of 02:30:57. Eric Panique finished as the fastest Filipino by placing third with his time of 02:32:23.

Kenyan David Kipsang was fourth with his time of 02:35:41 while Elmer Sabal placed fifth with a time of 02:37:23.

On a personal note, I finished my first 21K in 02:04:59. I aimed for a sub-2 finish but couldn’t pass up witnessing the drama in the race between Aileen Tolentino and Mary Grace delos Santos in the last few kilometers.

    Congratulations on your first 21k Max, that’s a very good time! Me and the rest of the Takbo.ph denizens who ventured out from Manila had an awesome time with the race, you guys certainly pulled out all the stops for this. For sure, there will be a lot more runners next year after this year’s exemplary event. Good job and congrats again!

    why is it my name antonio arat no.597 is not included in result list in fact i finished 4 hours 26 minutes but the race official let me step again in the carpet but my cheap did not sound but he write down my time in the paper please find out thank you

    I’m very much disappointed about the results when why it is my name antonio arat no. 597 finished 4 hours and 26 minutes is not included in result list of finisher when the race official let me step again in the carpet finished line because my racing cheep did not sound. In fact the race official just wrote down my finishing time in a record paper. Could you please find out about this in the marathon race that i attended that why my name is not included. thank you.

    i believe this is not a complete list since i don’t see my name on the list as well as my colleagues who joined the marathon yesterday. by the way, my race number is 585.
